I am a notary here in Shasta County, Ca and I am hoping to start a Registration Service for auto dealerships.

The problem I seem to be having is writing up a cover page for the customers, so they will know my fees, what we offer etc.
Accounting etc is handled but its always been the writing aspect of the business I find the hardest.

I can get down and dirty with the best of them when it comes to working on a vehicle but writing is my downfall.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Welcome JayDee :wave2:

What is it that you're trying to write? By "cover page" do you mean a direct mail piece or the home page of your website?

I wanted to be able to hand my customers a small packet of what my services entail, what the fees will be, a little bit about my self, a mission statement etc.

There arent very many Registration services out there and I know that being a vehicle verifier, they are in dire need of my services. I wanted to sound professional instead of my blunt way of talking <ie> I charge $20.00 per transaction and or title that I register for car dealerships and $25.00 for the private person off the street.

~S~ That doesnt sound professional to me and I am not sure how to word it correctly. Am I making sense?? I seem to doubt my own abilities to say things properly.

Thank you for any help or advice you may offer!

There's no simple answer to that question, Jay. That would be like me asking you to teach me to cook. :) It's a very broad topic that covers a lot of stuff.

If you want to write it yourself, you'll need to spend a good deal of time learning how to write copy. There are some excellent articles posted in this section of the forum or you can do a search on your favorite engine for something like "copywriting articles" and I'm sure you could find a slew of information.

If you want to pay a professional to do it, you'll need to post your request in the Help Wanted section so others can give you quotes.

I will take the time to learn to do this, which I need to do any way and will write it my self! :thumbsup2

Ive always believed in learning ALL aspects of your own business and its time to put my own beliefs up front and just knuckle down buckle down and do it do it do it!:woohoo:

Again, I thank you for the sincere advice and I look forward to seeing much more on this forum!!
