I just added Peppercoin to our (small but growing) Small Business Resources (http://www.smallbusinessbrief.com/source/) directory and wanted to point it out for a couple of reasons.

First, I've been hearing of this company for a number of years and they are still working away.

Second, it makes me wonder why PayPal doesn't offer a similar service. Perhaps PayPal figures if Peppercoin (and/or some other company) builds up a significant customer base, they'll just buy it.

Here's the rundown taken from info at Peppercoin's site:

Peppercoin (http://www.peppercoin.com)

Description:
Peppercoin is a small payments company. Our payment service reduces transaction processing costs and customer service costs associated with small payments. As a result, we enable profitable new business models.

Our patent pending technology, Universal Aggregation allows for aggregation across multiple merchants. Peppercoin is transparent to consumers, and allows them to use their preferred debit and credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Peppercoin does not require a consumer download, or account registration. Our payment service is an extension of the existing payment network and integrates easily with merchants' existing payment systems.
