I have just taken over a bookkeeping position at a small business, the lady who's been doing the books has been keeping things together, "her way". We are using Peachtree, and I think she just didn't know how to use it. It is a flooring sales and installation company and the sales need to match costs so they've been taking the income statement and putting it into excel and re doing it, also I can't figure out what is going on in the bank accounts!! AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!! Here's my question, I just found out today that she never used the "select for deposit" function in Peachtree, so there are deposits on the system since June of 2005. Also I can't figure out how to reconcile the merchant statements in peachtree. We put in a sale and customer pays with a visa, then where does it go? I can't figure it out. Can anyone help, please?
