We use QuickBooks here and we are looking for a reliable backup solution for it, as we don’t want to loose our years of data in an unlikely disaster. After a rough search on the net, we found this

It seems to be a reliable Quicken/QuickBooks specific backup product but does anyone here have any experience with this service?

Welcome to the forums, abril!

We use the File -> Backup feature of QuickBooks to do our daily backups, and burn a CD of the raw QuickBooks directory once per week.

We haven't used the online backup solution (although it is also available from the Backup menu), but that may be because we are hesitant to put our financial details online.

I wanted to let you everyone know that we are currently testing a new online business forum which is pulling posting and discussions from other business forums on the internet. Like this one.

Most likely your discussion will be duplicated on this and if it is not yet that is because it is in its beta stage.

So basically, if you don’t get a reply to your questions here. You might want to check to see if you get a response on http://usspin.com/phpBB/index.php

Thanks,

Erik

Hi Uba,

when you say 'pulling postings from forums' I hope you don't mean what It sounds like you mean. That is that you are ripping posts from forums and putting them in your own forum? That would be content theft, and I for one would not be happy if my posts appeared anywhere other than the place I put them.

ALL my posts are unique the the forum I post them in, I NEVER copy them across the web. I and every other person who makes a post holds intillectual copyright ownership of their posts, and the forum they are posted on hold the rights to publish and use them. Third parties who take them would be breaking the law.

Please tell me I have got the wrong end of the sitick though ;)

So you are pulling whole threads and posts from this and other forums to be placed in your own forum? I don't think I like that. Isn't that copyright infringement?

It is one thing to point out threads, particular posts and even what people say but to pull or scrap the entire contents of other people's forums is thievery. Is this what you are doing uba33? If so you might have some lawyers talking to you very soon. :crackwhip

I'm locking this thread and blocking uba33's ability to remove or edit his posts. I will also print out a hard copy and include notes on uba33's IP address.

If he is doing what he described, he is violating the law and his admission to content theft will make for compelling evidence.
