A newsletter subscriber had emailed to let me know she couldn't open links in her email messages. She is an Outlook Express user and I found the following helped her:
In your Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser...
1. Choose the pull-down menu "Tools"
2. Choose "Internet Options"
3. Choose the "Programs" tab at the top.
4. Click the button that says "Reset Web Settings"
5. Also, be sure to check the checkbox that says "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser"
