View Full Version : Looking For Reliable Windows Host

I have four web sites that use either Active Server Pages (.asp) or Cold Fusion (.cfm) along with MS Access for the database and as such am looking for a good, reliable Windows/NT host.

Everything else I have is in a Unix/Linux hosting environment which I love.

So I am torn between redoing the four sites in PHP/MySQL and moving them to a Unix/Linux environment or finding a new Windows Host. The easier of the two is finding a good Windows host as I don’t think my clients would want to pay for the conversion – I’d have to.

With that, can anyone recommend a good, reliable Windows host? I currently have these sites hosted at X/O and this is where I want to move them from so any recommendations besides X/O would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David

You might want to check out CrystalTech (http://www.crystaltech.com/), which is located in Phoenix. One of my clients just moved there and he really likes them. They have a nice Control Panel that gives you more control over your site than most Microsoft hosts. Plus, I believe that CrystalTech offers MySQL with Microsoft sites.

I'm with you regarding Linux/Unix hosts. I find the performance and reliability to be much better.
