Thank YOU all...your are teaching me alot.
Now that we talked about the Keyword meta tag issue...
What is a good Key word density. Even with a good title, description, meta tag (descipt and key words), I am getting a 3 % for those keywords I am interested in targeting.
I feel if I try to increase that by putting more of the keywords into the page content then I am starting to look silly and like spam,
Your help is always appreciated.

There is no right or wrong keyword densisty IMO. Just make sure your copy is in a natural language meaning that it doesn't looked like you forced keywords into the copy just for the sake of the search engines. Write for your users in mind and in doing so, incorporate related keywords that people actually search for.
I never use percentages but rather write in a natural language and then make sure the phrase is accurately represented.

I agree with David. Keyword density has not been used in a long time to rank pages. Don't focus strictly on how many times you can use a particular keyphrse. (See this article: http://www.marketingwords.com/articles/articles_keywordformula.html)
Now, what most engines are supposedly using to rank pages is something refered to as "term weight." Term weight is decided by the calculation of a pretty scary looking equation that includes how many similar pages are in the database for the engine, accurate topic identification, the use of keyphrases on the page and throughout the site and a lot more. It is not exclusive to the sheer numbers of times the keyphrase is used.
Sorry if you were looking for a straight, cut and dried checklist of what to do, but there really isn't one. It's a very individualized process.

I agree with Mr. David and Copywriter. Keywords for Sites are like a Pyramid.Starting from the index page and broken down to sub pages.
