I was reading this article about MySpace opening up their advertising. While google adwords currently distributes to MySpace, the best I can figure out is MySpace is also opening up its own self service advertising tools -
MySpace also is opening up the program to smaller advertisers through self-service tools.
And also tucked into the article it states
Facebook was scheduled to announce its own ad program Tuesday, though officials refused to discuss its nature.

While I won't be jumping both feet into either of these, I do think it is something to keep an eye on. With the strong qualification of targeting by segment and doing some tracking to ensure low quality isn't an issue ... which I suspect will be based on my previous experiences.
