windows vs linux


Does anyone know the market share of these two operating systems in regard to servers online.
Im thinking linux is bigger but I maybe wrong.

All I've been able to find so far is reference to a 2004 IDC server report showing the Linux server market share at 28.3%:

Server Market Share
Apache 69.19%
Microsoft 20.55%

It's not exactly what you asked because Apache is not limited to running on Linux, it can run on other types of Unix (as far as I know), but it should help give you a bit more usable info.
