From WebProNews:
The social media movement has seemed to attract all audiences and age groups. As a result, many marketers are changing their strategies to fit the social media sector. At the SEW Live in Columbus, Ohio, WebProNews caught up Search Engine Guide’s Jennifer Laycock to talk with her about this topic. She points out that marketing to the social media is fine, but it should not be the sole marketing strategy.

Jennifer - excellent point and I agree. I personally don't use/like Digg for my own reasons; but it has very low conversion/engagement rates unless the topics includes Linux, Apple or new/emerging technology and programming languages.

People who spend hours upon hours trying to make the Digg home page usually end up disapointed and/or having to upgrade thier hosting plans to take tons of traffic. Nonetheless, Digg should not be a bullet point on your go-to-market strategy deck.
