My friend Nicole wrote the article below about how a mastermind group can benefit you. Before you read it, I wanted to comment on what I consider to be the best thing about Mom Masterminds, the mastermind group that Nicole and I are members of.

The exclusive resources are worth thousands, and I'm extremely grateful they're available because I wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise, but in my opinion, the MOST valuable thing about MM is the Mastermind aspect.

When I used to visit other forums, there was dubious value. If you ask someone a question or need feedback on something, you're taking a risk because you may just get an opinion in response, and not an educated one at that!

It's also hard to get "real" and let your guard down, since you're trying to appear the expert. At Mom Masterminds, we're able to get into the nitty gritty and do so safely because we know we'll be getting real, solid information from serious people who know what they're talking about. I no longer visit other work at home forums because it would be a waste of my time.

Another plus is the intimacy of the group...being able to get to know people well because of the smaller numbers and the commitment each has to her own business but also to the Mastermind group is SO valuable!

When an MM starts a new site or affiliate program, she has an instant pool of women who are often willing to act as JV partners and not always looking for what's in it for them, either. We support one another in a way that isn't seen in other forums. We pitch each other's products, link to each other voluntarily, basically we promote each other. And that is the most important thing about Mom Masterminds :)

How can a Mastermind Group Help You Succeed?

A Mastermind group is a concept where success-minded people are joined together with mentors. In a good Mastermind group, you will find many people who take their business seriously and are willing to work hard to achieve success.

How can an online Mastermind group benefit you?

Compare a Mastermind group to sports. In sports, having a good coach will increase your chances of success. Also, the players on your team can make or break your game. If you play on a team with players who are mediocre, your game will remain mediocre. If you join a team with better players who take the game seriously and you add a great coach, your game will improve as well -- significantly.

How do you choose a quality Mastermind group?

There are several key factors to deciding if a Mastermind group is worth your time and effort.

1. The Leaders

What are their qualifications? A good group will be led by experts in their field, by true leaders who have experience in the topic and know how to share that information in a clear, concise manner. They are not afraid to share their success and are confident in themselves to be able to lead others to succeed as well.

2. The Forum
A good Mastermind group will include a forum where you can brainstorm and build relationships with other members. This is where you'll get specific and applied help. The coaches or leaders of a good Mastermind will have a very visible presence on the board, personally giving guidance.

3. The Resources
Most Mastermind groups offer resources that are only available to their members. These may be interviews with experts, ebooks, audio and video teleseminars, and software. Take a good look at the resources available. Oftentimes they alone are worth many times the price of the membership.

4. Trial offer or a Money-back guarantee
If the group offers a money-back guarantee or a free trial, that compltely eliminates your risk. You can join and see for yourself whether a membership in the group will boost your business, risk free. There are free forums online and free resources. But, if you want to improve your game, then find the best coaches and a team who can take you to the top.
